George Foreman GR59A Baby George Rotisserie

Grocery-store rotisserie chicken at home, your way
This is a nice compact rotisserie, carrying that Foreman name and cachet, meaning good low-fat grilling or roasting. A rotisserie has an advantage over ovens and contact grills in that it uses radiant heat to evenly roast your food. The results are juicy and tender, with that wonderful crust that only air and radiant heat can produce. But is the Baby George all it's advertised to be?

Yes and no is the ambivalent answer. The Baby George is advertised to hold a five-pound roast or bird, and this is really NOT true, in my experience. Unless your five pound roast is very compact and not terribly WIDE, it will strike the front of the oven cover as it turns on the spit. That prevents the motor from turning the roast, and since the heating element (a simple exposed coil in back) is only on the back side, your roast can't cook properly.

For under five pound roasts, the rotisserie works well. To roast a pork roast or chicken, you use the spit. The spit is in two parts: a spike and plate...

Great deal in a Rotisserie
I have been watching the infomercial on the Showtime Rotisserie for months and almost bought one.

I have recently read many complaints and problems with the Showtime Rotisserie on the Internet such as some fires in the unit , improper cooking of the food and many mechanical breakdowns and cleaning difficulties, and decided against it. Then I found the George Foreman Model and since I already own a George Foreman Grilling Maching that I constantly use and that has been trouble free after years of constant use, I decided to buy the George Foreman Rotisserie. Since I am single and have a small kitchen, this Baby model is the perfect size. I was worried about the heat, on my small counter due to many comments about the Showtime Rotisserie requiring a big area due to the excessive heat it develops. I cooked a 4 pound chicken in the Baby Rotisserie and had no problem with excessive heat. It is very well designed and vents out the top. The chicken was fantastic and the unit...

Yummy food, but a pain in the neck to clean
I definitely have not used the oven since I got the rotisserie, food with a lot of fat or skin comes out amazingly delicious. Dont bother with fat free foods, you'll just dry them out and waste money. Dont do pork chops either. The unit comes apart easily for cleaning, but its a pain to scrub the wire basket - take out stock in Brillo pads! Also, the metal back wall that slides out gets stains like watermarks even when it is clean, it never will look shiny new again no matter how clean. The white on the unit is yellowing from the heat, and my turn knob broke off from the heat as well - I had the unit about 2 inches from my toaster oven on the right side and it contained too much heat outside the unit. It is also difficult to clean the upper insides of the unit, since you cannot remove it. Did I mention it makes a mean chicken wings dinner (just dont put them on top of eachother in the basket). Also, dont cook meat as long as the time recommended in the booklet, the small size...

Lasko 6410 Designer Series Oscillating Ceramic Heater

What a relief.
I started out with a little Holmes heater that was $5 cheaper that i got from wal-mart, but the thing was horrible, took forever to heat up a little room even.

I was skeptical of something that looked decent, and assumed it wouldn't perform all that great... but boy was i surprised.

Heats up real quick, nice auto temp set of 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, and 'Max'.. along with manual settings, and oscillating that creates no more noise than the heater does, which is minimal for a space heater. Also has 4, 2, and 1 hr timers on it.

Only downsides, it beeps loud like a microwave with every button you touch, which gets annoying, and it would be nice if they made space heaters with 24 hour timers on them, to plan heating for when i wake up, but none of the kind exist.

Great buy, i think it was 40ish from wal-mart, very happy with it.

Great heater and attractive design
Very happy with this purchase. I previously owned the Lasko 755320 Tower Heater with Remote. That one lasted about 5 years and when it was time to replace it, I purchased this one, Lakso 6410.
The reasons I got this one instead is that for me personally, I found the remote unnecessary and never used it.
This one heats just as well as the Lasko Tower with Remote, takes up less space, more attractive design and cost less.
Many people have ask questions regarding increase in electric bill. I have found that if you do not use the oscillating function you will not see much of an increase in your electric bill.
But with using the oscillating function you will see a bigger increase in electric bill. Not sure why it cost so much more to oscillate but that has been my experience.
Basically when running this heater my gas bill has decreased by 70.00 and electric has increased 20.00.
So overall it saves me about 50.00/month. But it not only saves me money every...

Excellent investment!
After receiving a gas bills of around $250 for two months in a row (and I live in Houston, TX, not in some ultra-cold climate), I decided I needed to do something about the drafts in my house besides just turning up the heat. I researched a number of small electric heaters and finally decided on this one. I have now been using it for about 3 weeks, and even though I haven't received my new gas bill, I am quite sure it will be substantially lower because I've been able to keep the house thermostat low while just using this heater to warm the room I'm in.

Here is what I LOVE about this heater:

* Design - it is nice to have something that it attractive sitting in your living room, rather than a plain white or silver tower. Plus, it's fairly small and lightweight, and so it's easy to take from room to room.
* Thermostat - this is my absolute favorite part of it. I just set it to the temp I want my room kept, and it will turn itself on and off as needed. I use...

Cuisinart DCC-2000 Coffee-on-Demand 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Brushed Metal

Didn't need, but had to have! Love it!
I have a perfectly good Cuisinart DCC-1200, but after spotting the 2000 at a local store I couldn't stop fiddling with the floor model. Well, my wife was lurking as I was fiddling and with my birthday coming up - and my affinity for coffee - she thought she'd found the perfect gift. Boy was she was right!

Now let's be honest, carafe-less designs have been around forever - Farberware's stainless steel coffee pots are staples in offices and at parties - they just haven't been this much fun. I'm not going to repeat everything that's already been written, but suffice to say the 2000 is a unique coffee maker. Does it make coffee better than my 1200 did? No, not really. But it does keep it hot longer, without the bitter, burnt taste that would often accompany the coffee from my 1200 when left on the warming plate for over 30 minutes. I normally have two cups every morning (not the puny 5-ounce "cups" that every coffee maker seems to think is the norm for whatever reason), but...

Great machine.....please read
This is really a great coffee maker. The negative reviews all seem to be fixated on the fact that you have to pour water into the reservoir, and the unit doesn't come with a container for this purpose!! Is Cuisinart the Devil? Should I call my lawyer and file a class action suit? What is wrong with people today? Is is really that difficult to procure a plastic pitcher of some sort, fill it with water and then transfer that water into the coffee maker? I think not, and I do it one or two time a day myself without covering my kitchen counters with water. If you are not able to pour water from a pitcher into the reservoir of a coffee machine, I really do not think that you should be trusted with a hot cup of coffee either.

The coffee tastes great, never burnt. It is easy to program and clean and does not take up a whole lot of room. It also comes with one of those re-usable, permanent gold filters which many companies sell separately for about $20. My girlfriend...

Expensive coffee maker for only 1 year use
Cuisinart has known problem with this coffee maker. The lid builds up condensation and when you open it, it runs down the back and eventually your timer/brewing mechanism will go out. Multiple reviews have had the same problem. Granted, when I called Cuisinart, they are willing to replace it. (Immediately reached a customer service rep on a Sunday afternoon). But I have to pay the shipping out and include a $10 check for return shipping, and in the meantime, I am a month without a coffee maker.

Oh... and by the way, the customer service rep was immediately aware of the problem, so it is a known problem to Cuisinart as well. When I asked the customer service rep if I could replace this machine with a different machine since it is a known defect, she said no, you can only replace like machine for like machine. I guess your only hope is they will discontinue the product.

If you are unfortunate like me and only read this review after you have already purchased...

Emerson RCK55 Six-Speed Full-Function Horseshoe Receiver for Emerson K55XL Motor Ceiling Fans

Emerson Receiver Instructions Need a Re-write
The product is great and the delivery was timely. The manufacturer (Emerson) needs to improve on the installation
instructions. For example, a reverse flow box was included in the kit for use on some fan models but no instructions
or explanation was included. I was able to figure it out but some customers will be confused.

Easy to connect to an Emerson fan.......
But you have to take the fan apart to hook up the reverse module (if your fan has that option, or if you want to enable that option)

Does the job for fans that are out of reach.
This works exactly as advertised. You can control the fan and light from a distance. Use with SW605 Wall Control Unit.

Whirlpool Part Number 2206671W: Grille, Overflow (White)

It fits! Looks so much better.
It fits and looks so much better than the original crusty, rusty, discolored one. But we have to be vigilant to wipe up any drops immediately, or we will have the same buildup from our hard water again (that doesn't come off!)

Facelift for my fridge
Just what I needed to freshen up my freezer door drip pan after years of hard water stains. Great price and fast shipping and I don't have to spend hundreds just for aesthetics

satistactory
I needed this to replace my old one from 10 yrs ago when I bought the fridge. The quality is so so but it serves the purpose. Maybe it's in my mind but I feel the original one might be heavier/thicker.

Boston Harbor CF-78049L Hugger Three Light Ceiling Fan 52" Antique Brass

Great Product
Went right up without a hitch and the fan ran smoothly. The only thing I wished it had was four lights instead of three.... but that is just me.

Boston Harbor Hugger Fan
Good fan and light. We have it in the kitchen and the light is used daily. We put the fan on a variable speed switch and it works just fine. Good purchase and good price for the product.
