Finally, clean air
I live in a place that has grimy air, near 2 freeways. Ever since moving here my sinuses have been acting up, not draining properly, I was waking up with mucus and a gross film in my throat, coughing every morning. It was pretty bad. Two days after getting these. I'm good to go. Wake up breathing new air, lungs feel great, it smells amazing in my room. I love them. I got the two pack because it was a deal opposed to just buying one and I have them both in my room at separate ends. The little blue light is a night light, and can be turned off at night or whenever. Easy to clean. Great design. I work in the aerospace industry where making good designs is essential and they seem to be rare in every day appliances. BTW, if the machine starts crackling or sounding gritty, simply clean it and the noise goes away, its just a sign that its dirty. This is a great buy.
Great but....
Awesome deal!!! i have a TRUE sharper image ionic breeze and these dont compare... i was hoping, first, size... these are about 1/2 as tall. seccond, the collection grid/plates, completely different design.
BUT! they are worthy..!
few problems with design... the fans make a bit of noise.... cant really hear it during the ambiance of the day, but at night they can be heard... i keep mine on medium power..
i also like to run these all day... after about 4 hours out of the box, i had them on high setting, the plug started getting hot, i could replace with a higher milliamp 12v dc if they dont last...
i hope the fans last a while...
i have a baby on the way, and i drink filtered water... so now im breathing filtered air... germicidal protected... the next thing that should be nice also is the fact that these things nuetralize smell... sounds like a winner.. hopefully?! will find out next month when baby comes!!!

Adequate for the price
Purchased a pair of these for a 3 cat, 3 litter box home. The unit is plastic and light weight and a little smaller than I anticipated even though the dimensions are clearly stated. The units do a good job removing odors, but I was hoping that they would collect dust particulates more efficiently. The fan is pretty quiet, emitting an audible but soft sound. They are OK for the price. I have shopped around at retailers and have seen comparable units going for 99 dollars, and bigger(better?) models for $149-$299. These are well worth the $45 each I paid, but I did get what I paid for...a lower end item but perfectly useable and functional.
As a follow up...minutes after I wrote this review, I discovered that the night light on one of the units no longer works. This is a common failing of these units. Be warned. I also purchased identical units from 3Q and guess what? The night light on one of the units doesn't work.
