Replace these as pairs (sold individually) and re[place the shocks too.
Be sure if you replace this spring replace both of them and the "shocks" too. If you don't, be prepared to be back inside the washer again soon.
Great product
We had one of two springs break and both shock absorbers break on our Kenmore front-loading washing machine (8 years old). It came as quickly as they said it would, and it was almost half the price as the appliance parts store in town. I'm glad I found it!
