Metro Vacuum AM6BS Professional Stainless Steel Look 12V High Performance Hand Vac

High ? performance
I got this rather than the 115 v model since I'd either have to run a long extension cord from my apartment to the parking lot or use a DC to AC converter to run it. I thought that the 12 v should give adequate power and might be better than one of the rechargeable models. Well, I was wrong. The vacuum is barely adequate to use in the car. I like the hose and the long crevice tool to get down along the seats, but picking up anything more than dust and such won't get sucked up by this unit. I then ordered the Shark rechargeable with the brush attachment and find it much more powerful and useful. Now if they would just add two inches to the length of the crevice tool, it would reach between the seat and the door jamb. I may keep the Metropolitan for light duty use, but it was definitely a disappointment especially at the cost. Maybe the 115 v model works better?

Loose dirt, no problem
Its ok, but of course you won't get any strong suction. It will pick up sand, dirt and maybe a found French fry.
I would not buy it again though.

I'll Let You Know In 20 Years.
I had an old Black and Decker car vac. that died after 20 years of use. That one was a great one. This one is turning out to a good one also. I hope it lasts that long. The extra tools help car vacuuming easier.
